Unfortunately, my current practice does not have step-free access and I’m based on the third floor. I recognise that this isn’t ideal and I hope to address this in the future to make my therapy more inclusive. In the meantime, I do offer online sessions for anyone who’d have difficulty using the office I’m in.

Gestalt therapy sits within the realm of Humanistic and person-centred approaches to psychotherapy. It is holistic, embracing all aspects of the person including their embodied self, how they bring themselves into a room, and how they relate to others. As a Gestalt practitioner, I remain open to whatever it is a client may bring in the moment which I believe is necessary to create an inclusive space.

This really varies from person to person, so it’s difficult for me to state what the ‘right’ length of time to commit is. My approach is to check in with you around every five sessions to reflect on how we’re working together, if I’m still the right fit for you as a therapist and if you’d like to review any of the intentions we’d set at the start of the relationship.

Weekly sessions are recommended especially at the start of the therapy. This gives us both the time we need (and deserve) to get to the heart of the issues affecting your life and find ways to help you feel better. However, some people struggle to meet weekly (both for financial and scheduling reasons). If this is the case, let’s talk about it!
