About my practice

I believe that my role as a counsellor is not only to give you the space to voice your most challenging thoughts and feelings, but also to help you creatively explore your patterns of behaviour and thinking. I am interested in learning about who you are as well as how you are in this world. 

With my background in Gestalt therapy, I observe what happens in the room as we're in it together, e.g., body posture, breathing, tone of voice, how we interact, and would bring this to your attention in order to build awareness and understanding of what's happening in your life. Some of my sessions involve creative elements, such as drawing or playing with visual cues, especially when feelings can be difficult to articulate.

I am a British therapist with English-Japanese heritage. I have many years of experience working in companies big and small. In addition to being a counsellor I also work as a personal assistant to senior/elderly clients with growing experience in dementia-related care.

How to begin

1.Get in touch

Use the form below (or on the Get In Touch page) to contact me. I’ll email you to let you know the times I currently have available for sessions and we can book you in for an initial consultation via video call. I endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 12 hours.

2. Initial consultation

An initial video call lasts up to 30 mins. This is an opportunity for me to find out more about what brings you to therapy and your background and history, in order to assess if I’m the most suitable therapist for you. We can also discuss any additional requirements and I’d be happy to answer questions you have about the way I work.

3.Starting therapy

Following the initial consultation I will send over documents that outline my working arrangements and reserve your preferred time slot. If I don’t receive confirmation that you’d like to start sessions after 1 week I’ll release the space to another.
